Signature Qualifiers |

| Signature qualifiers are optionally included with you signature. This means that the signature will not verify properly if these qualifiers are not included. Removing, adding or changing these qualifiers is detected as being a tampered signature; and not valid. The meaning and use of qualifiers was defined in these international standards: |

| The standard commitment qualifiers used in the IP Protector are: Proof of creation Proof of creation indicates that the signer has created the message (but not necessarily Proof of approval Proof of approval indicates that the signer has approved the content of the signed data. The commitment of "Proof of Approval" when added to a counter-signature indicates that the counter-signer recognizes to have received the content of both the signed data and the verified signature and then the counter-signer has approved that original signature. Proof of origin Proof of origin indicates that the signer recognizes to have created, approved and sent the message. Proof of receipt Proof of receipt indicates that signer recognizes to have received the content of the message (not including any other signatures). The commitment of "Proof of Receipt" when added to a counter-signature indicates that the counter-signer recognizes to have received the content of both the signed data and the verified signature that was counter signed. Proof of delivery Proof of delivery indicates that the trusted-third-party providing that indication has delivered a message in a local store accessible to the recipient of the message. Proof of sender Proof of sender indicates that the entity providing that indication has sent the message (but not necessarily created it). Proof of approval (countersignature) Indicates that the counter-signer recognizes to have received the content of both the signed data and the verified signature and then the counter-signer has approved that original signature. Proof of receipt (countersignature) Indicates that the counter-signer recognizes to have received the content of both the signed data and the verified signature that is being counter signed. |
